Easter Weekend & Magic Game

Ok, the pictures below were pretty much the only thing I wanted to update this thing with but we decided to add some more stuff to this entry...So here is the full rundown of some recent events.
On Saturday, our plans to go to Gatorland backfired on us (due to them over-complicating their "free admission for teachers" promotion). So, we decided to take a quick trip to Paradise Beach on the Atlantic side. It was just an average day at the beach but the people watching was FANTASTIC due to the lady highlighted below.

Her Form: Flawless
Her persistence: unstoppable
Her grace: magical

Her shame: long gone.

Then on Sunday, Kristen was sneaky and surprised me with a basket & mini egg hunt when I woke up. I had no clue she was doing anything nor thought she ever would because of her dislike for Easter. But as she explained in her post from that day, she did it for me and I can't thank her enough for it.
(Yes Mothers, we went to church as well)

And lastly on Monday we went to the Orlando Magic game. Kristen's friend Eno, another teacher at her school, had scored some tickets for doing a Jump Rope for Heart event and raised a bunch of money for the American Heart Association. Their school won first place and Eno was being presented a trophy on the court before the game started. Lucky for us, even though we didn't do anything, we got to tag along and go on the court with him. It was pretty cool to stand on the court and then get put on the big screen at the game. Plus the Magic actually won...by 30 too!

  1. Great post...two questions:

    1) Why does Kristen hate Easter? It's probably the greatest holiday ever...with the whole resurrection and everything...

    2) Were there mini bottles in any of the Easter eggs?

    1. She explains her "reasons" in the post below and no, mini bottles didnt make it in the basket and since it was her first time, i'll cut her some slack just this once...

    2. I actually thought of that the day AFTER Easter, conveniently.... My only defense is that I was concentrating on not getting sick & as a result I was not thinking very creatively...
