So, this blog continues right from the previous post. After the St. Cloud parade, Kristen & I continued our Christmas spirit by purchasing our tree and a few other items to Christmas-up our place. We might not be the best at our jobs, we might not be good bloggers, Kristen might be the slowest person ever, but dammit can we do Christmas right! We lit our "fire," put on Christmas music, made some beverages and went to town on this tiny apartment of ours. Kristen gets credit for most of the cute/artistic decorations of course, but I carried the tree, put lights on it and had my share of bourbon drinks.
Due to my father's influence, I'm big on waiting until Christmas Day to open any sort of Christmas gifts. But this year, I made an exception because my gift to Kristen was buying myself a pass to Disney so that I can go with her anytime she wanted to get her Mickey fix. I caved and let her open her present on Dec. 1st so that we could do Disney Christmas things. What can I say, I like seeing her smile.
A few days later, my cousin Whitney and her family were down here on their first Disney vacation. She has 3 funny little creatures as kids that range from 3-7yrs old. On Wednesday, Kristen & I met them out at Hollywood Studios after work and spent the rest of the evening visiting and being entertained by her kids. They stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which Kristen had never see before (shocking I know), so we drove them back to their room and got a tour of the hotel before heading home. The place is pretty darn cool I must say. No detail left unattended in typical Disney fashion and they have wild animals surrounding the grounds so you can see a gazelle or giraffe at any point of the day... or night. At night, they let you use military grade night vision goggles so you can still see the animals when it's dark. Pretty cool.
About two weeks later, we had our own Disney Christmas day. The plan was to go for a short visit to take some potential Christmas card pictures and see a few decorations. Nine hours later, we headed home.
So, that is the story for the pictures below. Hope you enjoy and hope you all had Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
