Last week we all got together for our Davis family beach vacay in Hilton Head. We rented a house about 1/2 mile north of Coligny Square and about a 1-minute walk to the beach. It all went too fast, as always, but we had a great time together spending time at the beach and at the pool, going out to dinners together and grilling out at the house, and of course had a few family game nights sprinkled in there too.
The girls were like little fish and completely fearless of the ocean and the waves. I'm pretty sure they would have been perfectly happy spending every single waking second in the water. I only took my camera to the beach one day out of the week, but got some cute pics. Major cute/funny niece pic overload.

One night during the week, Jake and I went out on a sunset sail for our 2nd anniversary (which was not technically until a week later, but why not?). We did a sunset cruise in Key West on our little honeymoon, so we decided to celebrate 2 years with another one. The captain kept letting random people steer, so the boat was always headed directly into the sun when it finally went down. Made it difficult to get a good pic, but it still ended up being really pretty. Very pink and purple-y. We saw some dolphins too!
Towards the end of the week we attempted some family beach pics. I brought our tripod and had just purchased a cheap little remote for the camera, so we figured we could get something good. After waiting over an hour for tacos at Holy Tequila (which ended up being really good, just took FOREVER), we had to hurry back to the beach to try and catch the light. We got there at the very last second of good lighting, but it went down so fast after that and kept changing by the minute and I could NOT get my settings right to save my life. We still got some good ones, but they are a little noisy and not as sharp as they should be. Grrr

Your pictures of the girls are adorable and fantastic! The sunset on your cruise is gorgeous- I really hope Jake was one of the random people steering the boat at one point : ) I think your group pics turned out nice! Better than we manage to get of our whole crew- we just forget until too many people have been drinking or it's too dark out hahah Glad yall had a great time! xo
