Picture Project

So, I've been working on this wall picture project since we moved here. Every time I/we walk to the beach, all I want to do is take pictures. It's always so beautiful and so DIFFERENT every day. It really is so amazing how the same exact spot can change so much, depending on the weather, currents, wind, etc.

I was able to do the whole thing for less than $150. I got the frames at IKEA and ordered the prints from RitzPix.com.

I might eventually switch a couple of them out and will most likely add 2 more to make it 6 pictures instead of 4, to make a wider display.

Here's the completed project (for now):

Below are close-ups of the images I chose.

The first 2 are my favorite, and the ones I was trying to live up to for the rest. I remember taking these on the morning of Veterans Day. It was one of the most beautiful beach mornings I've ever seen (except for the days when it's really calm and there are no waves). The water was super clear and this gorgeous shade of greenish-blue, and the morning sun was shining through the waves as they crested and spilled over. There was a pretty good breeze going, which blew the spray backward as the waves rolled forward. Love, love, love these pictures.

These last 2 were kind of chosen pretty much so that I could just finish the darn project already. I still like them, as it's kind of hard to take a bad picture of a beautiful place, but might eventually change them if I find something better down the line.

Here are some of the runners-up:
