On Friday night Jake had his work Christmas party at his big boss's house. So we went there while father went on a little man-date with one of his old friends who lives down here that he hasn't seen in a long time. The Christmas party was a lot of fun and I got to meet a bunch of Jake's new work people. They were all really nice and really easy to talk to. His boss's house is really pretty and right on one of the canals, so the party mostly took place out back near the water. It was just a really cozy and peaceful little spot and I would love to live somewhere like that and have that be my view every single day. Towards the end of the party there was a gift exchange, and we ended up getting a salt and pepper set that were shaped like penises. Awesome. They were actually supposed to be replicas of the spires of some famous building in Barcelona or something. So we re-gifted them to my sister and brother-in-law as a housewarming gift. They better be using them next time we go visit.
There was a photo booth set up around the side of the house, complete with props. So here we are doing that.
For Saturday I was thinking it would be a good idea to go have lunch in Key Largo. It's only a couple hours from here and something different to do, so why not? Well... they had a really awesome bartender at the party and he was mixing up these delicious key lime martini concoctions of his own creation. I only had a few, but something in the ingredients must not have agreed with me because I had a terrible awful migraine for most of the day on Saturday and totally ruined our plans. So Jake and father went Christmas shopping while I tried to get rid of my headache. It ended up getting too late to make the drive down to Key Largo and back, so after I started feeling better we went to dinner at one of our favorite little spots we've found down here called Old Key Lime House. Their claim to fame is that they're the oldest waterfront restaurant in Florida. They've done much updating and adding on, but the original building from 1889 still stands as the entrance to the restaurant and the gift shop.

After dinner, we took the scenic route and drove down A1A back to Boynton. We got to see everyone's pretty Christmas lights and all the gorgeous houses across the Intracoastal all decorated for Christmas. Before going home we stopped in "downtown" Boynton (which is like a building and a stoplight) to see the big Christmas tree.
